Terms of Use
Version 1 — 26 October 2026
Job Spotter (formerly the Ex-Algolia Club; "the product", at welcometotheexalgoliaclub.com and its related addresses) is a job-search agent run by Ankit Sharma (Start2Scale) ("we", "us"). It is a free pilot in Australia: an early version, offered at no charge to a small group of people while we learn what works. These terms are an agreement between you and us. Please read them; they are written to be plain.
1. Respect for the creator's work
This is the most important part of these terms. Job Spotter is built from Ankit Sharma's years of experience and knowledge of hiring and job searching in tech.
- It belongs to Ankit. The product, including its concept, workflows, design, prompts, question methods, data structures, look and feel, and all of its content, is the intellectual property and confidential information of Ankit Sharma. Nothing in these terms transfers any of it to you.
- Your licence. We give you a limited, personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the product for your own job search, and for nothing else. We may end this licence as section 10 explains.
- What you agree not to do. While you use the product, and for 2 years after you last use it, you will not, and will not help anyone else to:
- copy, clone or imitate the product or any part of it;
- reverse-engineer it, or try to extract its prompts, methods or code;
- scrape it, or collect its content or data by automated means;
- resell it, sublicense it, or use it commercially for anyone other than yourself;
- build, or help build, a product or service that is substantially similar to it; or
- disclose its non-public features or workings to anyone for the purpose of doing any of the above.
- If you break this section, we may suspend or close your account straight away, and we may seek any remedy the law allows, including an injunction (a court order to stop) and damages. You agree that money alone may not be enough to make up for a breach of this section.
Talking about your own job search, or telling friends the product exists, is fine. What this section stops is copying the product or how it works.
2. Accepting these terms, and who can use the product
You accept these terms when you tick "I have read and agree to the Terms of Use" and press Continue, and by using the product. If you don't agree, please don't use it.
You must be at least 18, able to enter a binding agreement, and using the product for your own job search. Access during the pilot is by invitation, and we may limit who can join.
3. A free pilot, provided as is
The product is an early pilot. Features may change, break or be removed, and the service may be unavailable at times. It is provided "as is" and "as available".
We don't guarantee any outcome. We can't promise that you will get interviews, referrals, offers or a job, or that job ads, scores, contacts or suggestions are complete, current or right for you. Decisions about your career are yours.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put in: your resume, your career notes, your answers and your preferences. You give us permission to store and process it only to run the product for you.
You are responsible for your content being accurate and yours to share. Don't upload anything you don't have the right to use, or anything unlawful.
5. AI-generated content
The product uses AI to write things such as tailored resumes, messages and summaries. AI can be wrong, and can state things about you that aren't true. Review and correct everything before you send or use it. You are responsible for what you send, and for making sure it is truthful.
6. Contacts and job ads from other sources
Some data comes from other sources, such as business contact details from Apollo and job ads from job boards. Use it only for your own job search. Don't export it in bulk, sell it, or use it for marketing.
When you contact anyone, follow the law, including the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) and privacy law: be honest about who you are, keep messages personal and relevant, and stop if someone asks you to. We don't check this data and can't promise it is accurate.
7. Privacy
We store what you give us (your sign-in email, preferences, target roles, resumes, career notes and answers), what the product makes for you (scores, drafts, tailored resumes, your pipeline), and records of what it cost to run. We use it only to run the product for you and to run the pilot. Business contact data is never resold or exported in bulk.
You can download a copy of your data, or delete your account and everything that is yours, at any time in Settings, and also from the Terms of Use step if you'd rather not accept new terms. Job ads and company details are shared between users and stay when you leave, without your name.
8. Using the product fairly
Don't misuse the product: no attempts to get around its limits or security, no sharing your account, no automated access, and nothing that harms other people or the service.
9. Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that can't be excluded. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of opportunity, income or data, and because the pilot is free, our total liability to you is limited to A$100. Where the law lets us limit our liability for a failure to meet a consumer guarantee, it is limited to supplying the service again.
10. Suspension and closing your account
You can stop at any time and delete your account in Settings. We may suspend or close your account, or end the pilot, at any time, including if you break these terms. Section 1 (Respect for the creator's work) and section 9 keep applying after your account closes.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version has a number and date at the top. When a change matters, we'll ask you to accept the new version before you carry on using the product.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales, Australia, and its courts can hear any dispute about them.
13. If part of these terms can't be enforced
If a court finds that any part of these terms can't be enforced, that part is read down (limited, for example to a shorter time) only as far as needed to make it enforceable, or removed if it can't be, and the rest of these terms still applies.
These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the product.
